As I mentioned last week, I went on for around three chapters about the twins starting a new school

Sure, it’s a private school, so there’s a process, but not three chapters worth — reworking; again.
So tonight I’ve reworked the first two chapters. I cut chapter one by about half and chapter two by about four hundred words. Moved some of chapter two to the start of chapter three — it’ll still need reworking.
I’m getting ready to read them and make sure they work, but so far, I’m pleased with the results.
I know you’re not supposed to edit until you write “The End,” but I couldn’t get past that the first part sucks, so I wasn’t writing at all. If I don’t write, the deadline of having book two published on my son’s birthday won’t happen.
It works.
