I actually made a deadline I set for myself

I hit send on the email to the editor with my novel attached on Monday.

It comes in at right under 40k words, so not quite long enough. I send her a note saying, “I know there’s more to tell, but I’m not sure what.”

She sent her customary “I got it” email and said she’d make suggestions. Since she doesn’t know this version of the story, she’s treating it like it’s a first read.

Which it is.

For her.

I know patience and blah blah, but man, this waiting sucks.
