I don’t know about anyone else, but I function better when I have a deadline.

I’ve said plenty of times before, if there were a degree in procrastination, I’d be top of the class. I don’t do well without structure.
On the other hand, if you tell me, “I need x by 5 o’clock on Friday,” by 5 o’clock on Friday x will be on your desk. Maybe even y and z.
My editor and I have now come to an agreement where book one will be published on my birthday, and book two will be published on Ian’s birthday.
Now that she’s given me a firm deadline and will hold me to it, I’m all, “Yup, on it. I’ll get it done.”
I’m too freaking stubborn and prideful not to.
