I’m going to get a college degree!

I am; I’ve gone back to college to get a degree in Creative Writing with a concentration on fiction!

People have said, “You can be a writer without a degree,” and they’re right. I can. The kicker is, I don’t want to.

I want to hold that piece of paper in my hand come next June and know I accomplished something that matters to no one but me. Something I thought I’d do years ago. I mean, I am in my forties.

Better late than never?
