I mention I released my book the day before. The one teaching the class says I can drop my link, so I do.
She looks it up, and she’s all, “Oh, it’s number one new release!” I said, “WHAT?” I go and look and she wasn’t kidding. In barely twenty-four hours it shot to number one new release in teen and young adult family ebooks.
Holy crap.
It’s a narrow niche, which is probably why it hit number one, but I’ll still take it.
I called everyone. After showing off how I formatted my book in Atticus, I’m all, “Gotta go call my parents. Later!” and left the zoom.
After three hours, I hang up the phone for the night.
Here it is three days later, it’s still number one.
