Reader Magnets are a thing?

Oh yes, but I must create them! So I research.

After lots of research, I’ve found several ideas. The coolest is a word search puzzle with words or characters from the book.

I’ve also heard people offer a deleted scene.

I’m not sure about offering a rough draft of a chapter or two. Clever idea, but not my rough drafts!

Not bad ideas.

But how do I decide which is the best option for me? And then there’s my brand! I guess you don’t ever really know. You just do what you think is best and hope for the best.
