I have an idea that I think will save both of us time and headaches.
We meet, I tell her my idea of taking the story back to what it used to be, she’s all, “Great!”
Well, here I am two weeks later, unable to figure out how to get from where I am to where I need to be. Yes, the story is written, my main character is so unlikeable. Different from what I wrote two years ago.
Today I sent her an email with the four chapters I’ve rewritten, and what they used to be. I put in the email, “This is where I want to end up. Please help me figure out how to get there.”
She’ll get back to me on Monday.
