What do I do when I get feedback?

Up until a couple of months ago, I really didn’t have much confidence in my writing skills. So when someone would give me an idea, I’d go and change what I had and completely re-write the story to make that idea fit.

Don’t do that.

It only leads to frustration, wanting to quit, and more frustration.

At least for me. And I should know. I’ve re-written book one. I think it’s twenty-eight or twenty-nine times.

This isn’t front-page news, I’ve said this before.

After all these rewrites, I’ve learned to say, “Naw, I got this. Thanks though.” Then I write it all down in my feedback journal.
